ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING: January 21, 2015

Each year, we vote in our new Board during this meeting and make pertinent announcements regarding the club and its future.

FOUR LEAF 15s TOURNAMENT: March 21, 2015

The 11th annual tournament draws close to 1,500 players from overseas and domestically to the most beautiful turf pitches in the Big Apple. Playing amid the backdrop of the iconic Manhattan skyline, it’s easy to see why Four Leaf 15s has become the largest 15s tournament in New York City.

FRIENDS & FAMILY – SPRING: May 9, 2015

The Lions’ annual day of BBQ, fun in the sun, and sharing rugby with our loved ones, watching all three sides play in home matches.

WHITE COLLAR BOXING: May 15, 2015

A black-tie fundraiser for the Lions, this will be the inaugural year for the amateur boxing event, matching up members from the men’s team, women’s team, and the Old Boys.

HELL GATE 7s TOURNAMENT: July 11, 2015

The Hell Gate 7s Tournament is a USA Rugby-sanctioned 7s tournament hosted by the Lions and is part of the NRU Qualifier &Empire 7s Series.

SUMMER GOLF TOURNAMENT: August 24, 2015

HALLOWEEN PARTY: October 30 or 31, 2015

Annual Halloween party/fundraiser hosted by the men’s team. A portion of the money raised is donated to Lion alum Martin “Cod” Codyre and his mission to end spinal cord injury with the organization Unite 2 Fight Paralysis.

CALENDAR RELEASE PARTY/LUBE WRESTLING TOURNAMENT: November 2015

The women’s team puts out an annual calendar for the masses to enjoy. The release party is the official kickoff to this fundraiser. Each year, the women lube wrestle in impressive attire to the fanfare of the always entertained crowd. Current champ: Nicole “TwoTone” Caso.

AWARDS DINNER: December 5, 2015

The concluding (and fanciest) event of the year is spent donning our best and spending the evening honoring our players, as well as our inductees into the Lions Hall of Fame.
