Thank YOU for being a part of the Village Lions RFC’s  3rd Annual White Collar Boxing event last Friday. We are delighted to announce that we raised over $65,000 for the Village Lions and The Bowery Mission, and our 18 boxers bravely stepped into the ring in front of a sold out crowd, for 9 of the most intense fights WCB has seen to date!

A special thank you to DJ Aimz, and evening emcee, Kieran P. Holohan, for keeping us all on our toes and roaring with laughter. From the buckets of beer to the champagne flutes, we had an amazing buzzed and buzzing crowd cheering for every blow.  The official results of the evening are as follows:

Fight 1: Andrew Kabatznick (W) vs. Nick Opich
Fight 2: Steven Kovalcik (W) vs. Nigel Riley
Fight 3: Megan Collins (W) vs. Mallory Woods
Fight 4: Katie Morris (W) vs. Megan Banford
Fight 5: Ollie Smith (W) vs. James Sharpe
Fight 6: Austin Heron (W) vs. Rob O’Callaghan
Fight 7: Matthew Mullen (W) vs. Ben Broderick
Fight 8: Margo Smith (W) vs. Desiree Vodounon
Fight 9: Chris Mullen (W) vs. Eric Jones

While each fight ended with one clear winner, the Club considers everyone that participated a champion. We would like to take this opportunity to once again thank: you for attending and contributing to such a successful evening; USA Boxing for officially sanctioning the event; and Gleason’s Gym for getting our boxers fight ready.

Please be sure to like the Village Lions on Facebook to follow upcoming events, including news about WCB 2017, claim your winning raffle item, and check out photos from the night (being uploaded soon!).

Thank you for being a part of the Village Lions family.
We look forward to seeing you at WCB 17!
