What is 40for40?

A rugby match consists of two, grueling 40 minute halves. Opposing teams battle each other for field position, scores, and glory!  During our fundraising campaign, participants will perform 40 minutes of cardio for EVERY $40 dollars they raise. The more you donate, the more they have to work!  A portion of all funds raised will go to School in the Square.

About the Village Lions

The Village Lions Rugby Football Club is a competitive Men’s and Women’s rugby club playing both 15s and 7s. Over the past 30 years, anyone with a passion for rugby and camaraderie has been welcomed to join our family. Our mission as a 501c(3) non profit sports organization is to bring the rugby values of teamwork, sportsmanship, performance, fair play, and skill of critical thinking to bear in service of developing better dialogues between diverse groups, to build individual character, and to foster the leaders of tomorrow.

About School in the Square

School in the Square (S2) engages, educates and empowers adolescents to respond mindfully and creatively to life’s opportunities and challenges. S2 is a place where students, families, and educators are seen, heard, and inspired and where students build the academic foundations, emotional intelligence and leadership skills necessary to excel in their futures. S2 draws its name from the concept of the public square, where communities gather to solve problems and celebrate successes.
