Women’s 7s
The NYC based Lions launched their sevens program in 2016, and have become one of the fastest developing sevens programs in the northeast. Currently the VLRFC plays in the EGU Sevens Series, winning the series title in 2019. The Lions also field social/club sides at various tournaments throughout the summer.
Sevens season generally takes place June-July. All levels, including college and high school players are welcome.
Coach: Koma Gandy Fischbein
A Harvard grad, Koma has been head coach of the All Navy Men’s 7s squad, coach of the Northeast Academy, and has played and coached with USA Rugby at an elite level. She has been leading the Village Lions 7s program as head coach since 2018.
